Golf Tournament Set for September 9th, 2009
The Dalton Police and Fire Departments will host a golf tournament on September 9th, 2009 to raise money for the City of Dalton Public Safety Scholarship at Dalton State College. The tournament will be played at the Nob North Municipal Golf Course. The entry fee is $65 per player ($60 for Softball Player Association members with valid ID), and play will be a four-person "select shot" format. Players signing up without a group can be assigned to a group on the morning of the tournament.
The scholarship benefits the dependents of active or retired employees of the Dalton Police Department and the Dalton Fire Department who attend Dalton State College. The scholarship was endowed in fall of 2008.
